Have your say in creating our New Look….our New Logo
July 2nd, 2009 | Author: Diana
We need your help!
We are in the process of creating our own look for this site.
The first thing is to decide on the logo. Please pick your favorite logo from the following four and post it in the comments below or email us directly at diana@realfoodforlife.com You can also pick the one you like the least and you can also add comments why you choose it! Don't think too hard on this though. (We've already done that – its driving us batty) Just give your first impressions. Each picture has a number below it 2, 3, 4, 5
Here they are: Thanks a LOT

Doesn’t give me any feeling for food or life, maybe just a beautiful day!
My computer must be playing tricks on me. All the logo’s were identical! Makes you feel a warm feeling just looking at all those sun shines.
agree with George & Trudy.
Nothing that gives me the thought of good food. Need something that is more alive, nature, plants, fresh.
All the images looked the same.
I liked number 5 – the color behind the sun was more vibrant and made the picture come alive more… maybe add some healthy foods in the middle of the sun to have it a more “food friendly” logo… I do love sun’s – they cheer anything up!!
The variations you’re trying to pick from are too similar to really make much difference to call it new. Why don’t you have the sun rising over the ocean or the mountains. Try to take it in a new direction. hope this helps a bit.
Oh – I could not see any difference at first.
Then I did see differences – and I would choose #TWO
But I do also agree with Barb that something with fruits and vegetables would be more suited to “Real Food for Life”!!
Can’t wait to see you at Convention!
Diana
my first thought was “why are they using the symbol off of the products for renew life or the fibre smart products, they have a very similar logo. I agree with the first 3 comments, and #5 because I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. Of the logos presented I prefer #4 it looked more alive. thanks
Ok you guys aren’t eating enough Sunrider, ho ho… I could see immediately the difference and yes #4 is the winner for me. Now as far as the food part, how be you incorporate foods like celery stalk for the post part of “d” in food. Or a head of cabbage for the head or top part of “R” in Real. An Apple for the “o” in For. You could add your different colored fruit/veggies that way. And keep the sun – after all the fruit and veggies need the sun. Looking forward to seeing you at Convention!!
To be brutally honest I don’t like any of them, the idea of simplicity is great for logos and branding a product but this logo comes off as generic or plain if you will. It just lacks the liveliness that this company embodies and stands for! I hope that I am not being too blunt. If you really decide to go with one of these options I’d say number 2 is the better one. Is there supposed to be a number 1? If so it’s not showing up.
Good luck with everything!
Gord suggests: sun coming up over qarden – like colourful vegies and a butterfly
do you want it in black and white????!?!
Sue
I’m sorry but it did not catch my attention. I think you need to think more on the green level.Something more on the zen and earthy level.Use a real image as apposed to an animated picture. Waiting to see what you come up with.
I’m going batty looking at them too, and I am influenced by what everyone else says. Sounds like most people are saying: back to the drawing board. I choose number 3 when I compare them with each other.
Sorry it doesn’t seem to get my attention, and about how passionate you both are about health in general.
I can just see the differences, 3 glowed to me…i like the simplicity and the brightness of the logos and i kind of liked the look that there is no food items on the logos however all the comments suggest it does not give a direct and clear msg so that is helpful too and i really liked Christine Riddels suggestions adding a celery stick to the letters etc, could be a cool touch.
What do you think?
Good luck
After carefully studying the images — they looked identical at first — #2 comes out on top for me.
But I think I would like it better if it were combined with the version of the sun rays from #4.
In #2, the body of the sun actually seems to have an authentic ‘glow.’ In the other versions, the sun looks more stylised.
I like the rays of #4 for the same reason — they look more authentic. And they also remind me of dandelions — (ie, the rays have the same shape as the greens of a dandelion… making me think that this sun has the combination of brightness of the sun with the cleansing strength of dandelion.)
#3 and #5 didn’t quite seem as sharp to me.
So to sum up: combine the body of the sun from number 2 with the rays from #4 and you have a winner!
Hope this helps.
Sorry, initially they all looked the same but on the second look I chose #2;it just seems to have more of a glow. But the “Real Food for Life” print is to elemntary. You might incorporate a different font with the “l” in “Real” as an asparagus stem or a romaine lettuce head with more promant leaf rib as an “l” and the two “o”s in Food to be either cherries or grapes with stems going up with a leaf attached to it. I like the someones suggestion of a mountains but very faint mountains in the horizon. I’m sure one bright sunny day the right one will come to you.
Good luck.
Thanks for your great newsletters.
I chose three, because of the inner rim around the sun!! They are all good and maybe even four or five could be it!! THey have bolder lettering, and it brings out the message!! But now, I think that maybe four is the one! Well now I don’t know! I think five because it’s bolder and darker! Yes I think ,go with five and score big with bold and dark colour!!
I think Christine(on July 3rd) hammered the nail on the head!! Every word and choice (#4) was my thoughts exactly. Please seriously consider her suggestions.
I would choose number two.
I like #4 the best. I like the sharp lines around the sun more than the rounded ones.
Thank you Everyone of you for your input. Randy & I greatly appreciate it and are now going to take all of your suggestions into consideration.
Here are what some others said to me:
1. I like the sun in # 4. Just caught my eyes!
2. My Choice is #4 …………….
3. #4
4. 4!
5. I’m sorry – they all look the same to me? Though I do like the sun over the Real Food for Life! (they all look just like the one visible in this email)
6. I like the sun a lot as that is where all food has to come from and is in it self real food for life. #2 or #3
7. How about putting the symbol of a human being with arms stetched out in the sun.
I liked # 4 the best after figuring out where the difference was.
I also liked what Iris said about turning the letters into vegetables and fruits or at least one of them.
What I like about the sun idea is that sunshine is really our food, our real food for life. Even if we still need to eat fruit and vegetables and maybe even meat, all that any food really is is concentrated sunshine. Most of us are just not yet able to convert sunshine directly into food for our cells, so we still need to eat the “containers” of sunshine. So as a reminder of our real food I like the sun logo.
Number 4 all the way. I love the Sun just as much as you and Randy and I like that idea because that is the base of what you are doing with SR. I love the rays on number 4. Don’t wreck the simplicity of it by putting veggies and mountains etc in it. To me that would wreck it.
Number 4. I like the *sun* logo.
Thank you for all.
