Miso Sauce

This is an all time favourite of mine as it is so easy.

I’ve been making for at least 31 years!   (now stop calculating my age)

Miso Sauce

This is a very simple and quick sauce to make.  The taste will vary greatly depending on which type of miso is used.

For a very light flavoured one use Shiro miso but really any miso will work.

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp light tahini (sesame butter)
1 tsp lemon juice
3 – 6 Tbsp hot water
1 – 3 tsp miso

Options:

  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 drops stevia*

Directions:

1.    With a fork blend water slowly into tahini.
2.    Blend all ingredients together with a fork. It will make a thick sauce. Add more water if you would like it thinner.

Add any of the other options you would like.

Mostly I put it on steamed vegetables but I see my guest putting it on their rice too as they like it so much.
*Sunny Dew is best
