Avocado Vegetable Dip Recipe Ingredients:
Avocado
The main ingredient in this dip is avocado which is bursting with lots of health benefits and is so strongly associated with fertility and aphrodisiacs that the Aztecs would lock up virgin daughters during avocado harvest time to keep them safe. Read the details and check out the infographic on this wonderful Superfood.
Some people avoid avocados due to their high fat content. Most of us know by now that avocados have the kind of fat that helps you lose weight!
Tomato
The red of Tomatoes is what makes them full of health benefits, even when you are enjoying them as a refreshing juice or tomato sauce. Tomatoes are fat-burning, help prevent cancer, and are a very heart-healthy food.Â
Onion
Onions are so healthy we put them in the Superfood category.  Learn  All About Nutritious Onions and How Not to Get Teary. Onions lend some flavour to these quick pickles.
WHO recognizes that Onions help relieve symptoms such as coughs, congestion asthma, and respiratory infections. Onions are full of protective phytonutrients, vitamins, trace minerals, quercetin (an important flavonoid), chromium, and unique anti-inflammatory nutrients.
Celery
Celery is a negative calorie food, meaning it takes the body more calories to digest it than the food itself making it a very good food for weight loss.  One stalk of celery has only a few calories because it is full of healthy cellulose. It is 95% water, very alkaline, and filled with fiber.  Its weight loss benefits are well known but you would be surprised at its other amazing properties.
Lemon
Lemon’s health benefits are immense. To begin they are acidic to the taste but are alkaline-forming in the body. They are one of the most alkaline-forming superfoods; this makes them great for balancing a highly acidic condition in the body. Also, they are full of many health benefits.
Nori
Nori seaweed is thin, and its oily iridescence reflects the colours of the rainbow. This is the most popular Seaweed for eating, both historically and today. We mostly know it from eating Maki Sushi.
Nori is high in protein, contains carbohydrates, and has almost no fat. It is rich in vitamins A, B2, niacin, B12, plus C and D.
It comes in sheets in packages or dried granules that can be sprinkled on food either during cooking or at the table.
Dulse
I use these Dulse Flakes for this avocado vegetable dip to give extra flavour and more health benefits.
Maine Coast Sea Vegetables Dulse Flakes are hand-harvested from remote Gulf of Maine bays at the peak of nutrition and taste (early summer to early fall.) All of their Dulse products undergo annual OCIA organic inspection for handling and harvesting, as well as voluntary testing for heavy metal, chemical, and microbiological contaminants.
