As I don’t use sugar for my dessert recipes. I often use stevia which is the healthy option. The stevia plant is incredibly sweet and also incredibly good for you. The leaf is 30 times sweeter than sugar while extracts are 300-400 times sweeter. This is a great way to add healthy sweetness to you The best stevia will, therefore, be the one that retains some whole food value and is water-based. Liquid forms will be less processed. Go here to learn How to Get the Best Stevia Without the Bitterness.
Yummy maple syrup is thick gooey syrup poured lavishly on pancakes. Even though it is a superfood, it is sugar and that means it is not good to eat too much of it. In this chocolate cherry vegan ice cream recipe, only very little is used. I was happily surprised that it has some interesting health benefits. It is full of antioxidants which help fight inflammatory diseases protecting your health from diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, and type 2 diabetes. Maple syrup aids digestion and is great for the gut.
Bananas are healthy for you and that’s a good thing since they are the most popular fruit in North America. Everyone loves bananas. There are more songs, jokes, and silliness with this food than with any other plant on earth. They add a nice creaminess to this chocolate cherry vegan ice cream. as well as extra natural sweetness.

Looks yummy. I already have made banana ice cream. I would love to try this recipe but I will have to use a substitute for the honey which is not vegan. Thanks.
Suzana, I changed the honey to rice syrup or maple syrup as I know for many vegans that will be necessary. Thank you for reminding me.
How much sugar is in this recipe? does it matter if the cherries are sweet or tart?
The sweetener is rice syrup or maple syrup…no sugar.
It is best if the cherries are sweet.
I have just come from a movie called “That sugar Film” – I think everyone should watch this movie – it is brilliant – all about an Australian man who decides to test what happens to his body if he eats a lot of sugar – in the end he was eating the same amount of calories, but what the sugar diet did to his body was unbelievable! Unfortunately, sugar of any description is bad if taken in excess – so keep it low, like all of Diana’s recipe’s – thanks for the post Diana!.
I enjoyed banana Ice cream. I don’t mixed with anything. I love taken it.
