Leaky Gut Syndrome

burning stomach - leaky gut syndrome

Do you believe that the human stomach is able to digest many different foods at the same time?

Contrary to popular belief, it is not just what we eat that is crucial to our health; it is the way we combine foods to make the meal that can make a difference.

The enzymes in the human digestive system have well-defined purposes. When we eat indiscriminately, without combining of our foods properly, digestive troubles will often follow.

Food that is not digested is wasted and does not benefit us.  Even worse, is that waste product can rot in the gut causing a condition called ‘leaky gut syndrome’.

These toxins cause increased permeability of the intestine wall.  This increased permeability allows the toxins, microbes, undigested food, waste, or larger than normal macromolecules to leak through the abnormally permeable gut wall. These out-of-place substances affect the body directly or initiate an immune reaction.  The immune reaction will almost aways increase inflammation in the body which is associated with a number of degenerative diseases.

Proper food combining means better digestion, more nutrition, and ultimately better health.
